State Secretary in the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Tatjana Mati\u0107, will give an introductory speech at the conference on the World Telecommunications and Information Society Day on Wednesday, May 17, at 11 o\u2019clock at the Startit centre in Belgrade, Savska 5.<\/p>\n

At the conference organised by the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, the representatives of the Ministry will speak about the institutional framework for support to Big Data and Internet of Things, information safety and strategic documents for development of the broadband network, while the participants from the company in the field of information technologies will present the examples of good practice. <\/p>\n

The World Telecommunications and Information Society Day (WTISD) is celebrated every May 17, on the anniversary of signing the first international telegraph convention in 1865, that is, on the day of establishing the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in Paris.<\/p>\n

The subject of this year\u2019s Telecommunication and Information Society Day, which I celebrated under the patronage of the International Telecommunication Union, is Big Data for Big Impact.
