More than 3000 experts in the field of information-communication technologies are employed annually in Serbia, and more than 100 programming jobs are available at all times\u201d, noted State Secretary at the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Tatjana Mati\u0107 in her opening address at the roundtable \u201cInclusion of Girls in the World of ICT and Entrepreneurship\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The roundtable regarding the project \u201cTelenor Girls Day\u201d was organized by the Association of Businesswomen in Serbia and Telenor Foundation, presenting awards to girls responding to the call for the best video clip on the subject \u201cCatch an Idea\u201d, with a screening of the best works.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mtt.gov.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/092A2998.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/mtt.gov.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/092A2998.jpg\" alt=\"Inclusion of Girls in the World of ICT and Entrepreneurship\" title=\"Inclusion of Girls in the World of ICT and Entrepreneurship\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-21406\" srcset=\"https:\/\/arhiva.mtt.gov.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/092A2998.jpg 600w, https:\/\/arhiva.mtt.gov.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/092A2998-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/arhiva.mtt.gov.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/092A2998-450x300.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWatching the video clips sent in by the girls, I was impressed by their imagination. Young girls not only have excellent ideas on how to design their daily life, how to achieve better results in studies or how to earn pocket money, they also know how to express these ideas using new technologies. Although still at the beginning of their life journey, they already know how to achieve their goals and publish this to the world\u201d, said Tatjana Mati\u0107.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs part of the initiative we recently started, entitled \u2018Smart and Safe\u2019 and implemented primarily through the IT Caravan project visiting schools and towns across Serbia and organizing educational presentations on the advantages and hazards of the internet, we are promoting projects related precisely to the greater inclusion of girls and women in new technologies.
