{"id":20658,"date":"2016-02-09T16:09:37","date_gmt":"2016-02-09T14:09:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mtt.gov.rs\/?p=20658"},"modified":"2016-02-10T14:36:06","modified_gmt":"2016-02-10T12:36:06","slug":"the-ministry-of-trade-tourism-and-telecommunications-marks-9-february-safer-internet-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arhiva.mtt.gov.rs\/en\/releases-and-announcements\/the-ministry-of-trade-tourism-and-telecommunications-marks-9-february-safer-internet-day\/","title":{"rendered":"The Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Marks 9 February \u2013 Safer Internet Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, in cooperation with the Centre for Safer Internet Serbia, will mark Safer Internet Day on 9 February 2016 at the House of the National Assembly, starting at 10 o\u2019clock.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremonial opening of the event marking Safer Internet Day will be led by State Secretary at the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, Tatjana Mati\u0107.<\/p>\n<p>Panel discussions will be held on this occasion regarding \u201cProtection of Personal Data and the Role of Institutions in the Online Environment\u201d and \u201cWorking with Youth and Challenges Introduced by New Technologies\u201d. The participants of the panel will be representatives of state institutions \u2013 the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, the Republic Public Prosecutor\u2019s Office, the Ministry of the Interior, Children\u2019s Cultural Centre, as well as the non-government sector \u2013 representatives of the Youth Office, B92 Fund, Net Patrol and the Centre for Safer Internet.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/mtt.gov.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Uvesti.jpg\" alt=\"The Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Marks 9 February \u2013 Safer Internet Day\" title=\"The Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Marks 9 February \u2013 Safer Internet Day\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-20652\" srcset=\"https:\/\/arhiva.mtt.gov.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Uvesti.jpg 600w, https:\/\/arhiva.mtt.gov.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Uvesti-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/arhiva.mtt.gov.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Uvesti-450x300.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Choir of the Children\u2019s Cultural Centre will also participate in the programme, and representatives of ICT companies doing business in Serbia are also expected to attend.<\/p>\n<p>The goal of the event is the promotion of the use of the internet, providing limitless potential for communication and learning, but with awareness of the risks presented by the online environment. The participants of the panels will focus attention on the role and responsibility we all hold in the joint creation of a better and safer internet, particularly for children and future generations.<\/p>\n<p>Safer Internet Day is marked worldwide, this year under the slogan \u201cPlay your part for a better internet\u201d, aimed at promoting the safe use of new technologies and the internet.
