Assistant Minister for Information Society Sava Savi\u0107 was present today at the opening of the Advanced Technologies Forum \u2013 City of Ni\u0161 Potentials\u201d at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering in Ni\u0161. The conference was organized by the Local Economic Development Office in cooperation with the National Employment Service, the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, the Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Ni\u0161 Cluster of Advanced Technologies.<\/p>\n

New technologies pervade all spheres of society, the digitalization of the business and living environment is becoming more prevalent, and the IT sector has become a strategic sector in Serbia, Savi\u0107 said and added that the IT industry is a dominant branch of the economy.<\/p>\n

The conference is held on 13 and 14 October in parallel with the renowned international IEEE scientific conference TELSIKS 2015. The conference included an exhibition of products of corporate entities in the field of advanced technologies and presentation of educational, scientific, research and institutional resources, as well as exhibition \u2013 Beginnings of Advanced Technologies \u2013 The History of Production in the City of Ni\u0161.<\/p>\n

This project was initiated in order to obtain a clear picture on development and investment capacities, possibilities and potentials of the City of Ni\u0161 and on the degree of development of the advanced technologies sector both in the local community and also on the national and regional level, and to enhance communication and cooperation between research, development and educational institutions and the production sector.<\/p>\n

The Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that the holders of the economy are small and medium-sized enterprises engaged in electronic and innovative business, and he invited the attendees on that occasion to sign up for the competition announced by the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications for the allocation of funds for start-up and innovative projects in the field of information and communication technologies.<\/p>\n

The objective of this conference is positioning of the City of Ni\u0161 as the center of advanced technologies on the basis of existing institutional and production resources, strengthening resources and setting up a traditional meeting which will gather experts every year, and exchanging experiences in this field.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
