Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia Rasim Ljaji\u0107 stated today that an agreement was made with the Turkish company ITIMAT to build a dairy plant in \u0160abac, where production is planned to start in April.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday we agreed that the investor will buy 2 hectares of land in the industrial zone of \u0160abac, and production should start in April\u201d, said Deputy Prime Minister Ljaji\u0107.<\/p>\n

Ljaji\u0107 said that 4 million euros would be invested in the dairy plant which is expected to employ 100 workers.<\/p>\n

He said that this investment is not only important for \u0160abac, but for the whole of Serbia, because Serbia has not had Turkish investments so far, and only has about 30 companies operating in Serbia, and that the arrival of this investor would be the best reference for other Turkish investors who have withdrawn from the markets of Syria, Iraq and Libya.<\/p>\n

“If this investment is realized in \u0160abac, I believe it will not be the only one, because Turkish investors go where there are already Turkish investments” the Deputy Prime Minister told reporters.<\/p>\n

The owner of the Turkish company ITIMAT Shahin Kara said that their plan is to start with the production of cheese, mozzarella, feta cheese and butter, and to produce around 50 tons of milk per day. <\/p>\n

The Turkish investor did not hesitate. In fact, he decided almost on the spot when he saw the location in the industrial zone of \u0160abac, although the industrial zone in Zrenjanin, a location in Obrenovac, as well as the factory halls of PKB were also on offer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
